The Introductory Biochemistry course builds on a student’s knowledge of biology, general chemistry, and organic chemistry to explore how molecular interactions relate to biological processes. The course focuses on structure and function of macromolecules, major metabolic pathways, and the regulation of pathways. This interdisciplinary course emphasizes conceptual understanding, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and data analysis.
Students who successfully complete the Introductory Biochemistry course in Achieve have demonstrated:
